Earth Agrees

I thank the rain this late night for falling for me,
(at least it felt that way)

Cause it works.(until few months soon)
When I'm sad, i love to listen to Patty Griffin.
I love her idea of inspiration - that her shyness is overcome through music. I could feel her honesty of being herself. And true artist truly does shine through that way. Just by being yourself.

Her sites

RAIN by Patty Griffin
It's hard to listen to a hard hard heart
Beating close to mine
Pounding up against the stone and steel
Walls that I won't climb
Sometimes a hurt is so deep deep deep
You think that you're gonna drown
Sometimes all I can do is weep weep weep
With all this rain falling down

Strange how hard it rains now
Rows and rows of big dark clouds
When I'm holding on underneath this shroud
Rain

Its hard to know when to give up the fight
Two things you want will just never be right
Its never rained like it has tonight before
Now I don't wanna beg you baby
For something maybe you could never give
I'm not looking for the rest of your life
I just want another chance to live

Strange how hard it rains now
Rows and rows of big dark clouds
When I'm holding on underneath this shroud
Rain

Strange how hard it rains now
Rows and rows of big dark clouds
When I'm still alive underneath this shroud
Rain Rain Rain

Passion, dearest Passionists

I place a high admiration for people with passion.
When I say Passion, I meant those who owns it in their heart to simply live.
I do not associate Passion with only Success.
True Passion is when it outlive reality.
When no matter what circumstances we are in, Passion never fades.

I realize another reason why i love Tennis Matches so much.
Now,French Open is on.Round 3 today.
Watching a new player, playing their hardest, losing the 1st two set..winning the next 2 sets..and to loose in the final set..lost in the end.
And yet, people stand up, applaud for the outstanding effort he/she made.
Due to the fact, the big lost, is actually a grand exit.
Where people enjoyed one of the best matches.
And that in the end of the day, nobody left the court a loser.

Imagine producing the same energy, perspective and respect to everyday people.
Those who fight, within ordinary compound, and yet even there is no Grand Exit,
no Billboard to show off ones effort, no Glitz and Glamor spilled on them exaggerating their life,
i always manage to be amazed at how little people appreciate people.

Single mothers, orphans, grass cutters, hawkers, gas station workers, contractors, etc..

that usually called 'ordinary' people.
When i did see these people, did their job, in the best manner possible,
i wonder how did they do it.
And i think the answer is Passion.
Somewhere somehow in the tiny space of their heart, lies Passion.
Saying that the life given, is worth only the best effort.

Don't you think this ought to be applaud?
Don't you think they are Kings in their territory?

Im not naive. I know people never choose to be a grass cutter...if they can.
But when i saw, a father, cutting bushes near the Shell at my house, Smiling, while his young daughter and son, playing nearby...
(he said to them : "play nicely..watch around and be safe, dad will be done in a few")
I have nothing but respect.
Trust me that the bushes at my Shell, are always in perfect shape.

Is that Passion of cutting tree OR Passion of Life?

After reading, The Witch of Portobello and watched Mr.Magorium's Wonder Emporium..
what came out is this..

"Turn every ordinary into extraordinary"

Now, Passion is Heart and is about appreciating Life.
Washing the dishes, taking care of the sick, respecting our parents, be kind even to the mean,
aware of death and after life, Islam, flaws, faults, sacrifices, forgiveness and learn.

With this in mind, nothing seem unworthy.
Like Allah said, no obstacles laid for you if you aren't capable of handling.

By understanding, Passion, Life and Death..(with Islam),
we are smart for what we are.

*Applaud*

Thanks for reading.

Mr.Magorium's Wonder Emporium!

Resulted in 2 entries in a time. I watched it sometime few days back. And it affect me and my running to.. especially the phrase.
Life is an occasion. Rise to it!
i keep recalling it to myself.

After that dvd, i look at life like a space. A square, circle, any shape i dont really care.
Cause it can be any. Like Mr.Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It's magical.
Like life. We know anything can happen. We know of the cause and effect.
We also know about the unexplained events that happened.
We know reality.
We know after-life.
So why stop expanding when life is a "magic" tool in the first place?
We may not know how to use it at times, there arent step by step methods.
We only have guide.
I intended to use. Its "magic". So anything is possible. :)
Will it and work it.

There are many wonderful eccentric sayings by Mr.Magorium.
Here are the few i love!
Mr. Edward Magorium: I fell so completely in love with these shoes, I bought enough pairs to last my whole lifetime. This is my last pair.

Mr. Edward Magorium
: Unlikely adventures require unlikely tools.

Mr. Edward Magorium: [to Molly, about dying] When King Lear dies in Act V, do you know what Shakespeare has written? He's written "He dies." That's all, nothing more. No fanfare, no metaphor, no brilliant final words. The culmination of the most influential work of dramatic literature is "He dies." It takes Shakespeare, a genius, to come up with "He dies." And yet every time I read those two words, I find myself overwhelmed with dysphoria. And I know it's only natural to be sad, but not because of the words "He dies." but because of the life we saw prior to the words. [pause, walks over to Molly]

Mr. Edward Magorium
: I've lived all five of my acts, Mahoney, and I am not asking you to be happy that I must go. I'm only asking that you turn the page, continue reading... and let the next story begin. And if anyone asks what became of me, you relate my life in all its wonder, and end it with a simple and modest "He died."

Molly Mahoney
: [starting to sob] I love you.
Mr. Edward Magorium
: I love you, too. [picks Molly up, sighs heavily]
Mr. Edward Magorium
: Your life is an occasion. Rise to it.

Mr. Edward Magorium
: 37 seconds.
Molly Mahoney
: Great. Well done. Now we wait.
Mr. Edward Magorium: No. We breathe. We pulse. We regenerate. Our hearts beat. Our minds create. Our souls ingest. 37 seconds, well used, is a lifetime.

that's all!
Take Care. :)

Running Week

this past week started with my 'running' routine.
Work is work.Nothing much.I guess, promoting gym,spa and beauty products had its effects.
= RUN!
reading a new book now, The Witch of Portobello. so far, it's been a really good read, about Sufism, art, caligraphy and trance.Haven't finished it though. But its a journey of a woman who had hard life but have special characteristics/abilities few only aware.

I also bought a 1968 Time Life book on Manet. A France painter who's been considered the one who changed traditional - modern painting / impressionism. (though he's only considered a genius after his death.)

aah..usually, that happens with people who think further ahead.
while, people who think in the now, couldn't understand how and why some think differently.
Some just learned more than others.
It's all about being yourself really. Nothing more.
Though, Manet did hid his painter side, with his people side.
Artist do that i guess. Or else, there's no painting to paint about. If everything was revealed.
Or is because some thing in our soul, need a conventional vessel to come out?

In the book box, there's an extra booklet too, a Chronology of Western Art dated from 1250 which started mostly in Florence and Siena.
Got me thinking, if i could popped in the library in Turkey right now, i so want to read books about Islamic paintings.Which is mostly Sufism.
I read somewhere that eastern books on world matters were adopted by the west.
hmm..

arrgh!all this extra thinking is all because of The End of Mr.Y. 4th dimension, mind journey.
also because, i just want to paint my life, everyday, with as many colors as possible.
i hate the idea of filling it with materialism as a ruler of how successful i am as a human.
i love to have my short life filled with everything that ruled by Islam.
That would be everything really. Love, myself, family, friends, knowledge, hardships given, dreams.
Especially knowledge. Its the way to grow.
How successful i am is how i am as everything i am. And that excludes me being a Bitch!
hahahaa..

I written my 1st News Article in DeviantArt. Check it out if you want.
Nothing much, just basics really.

Enjoy your weekends people!

Twilight !!!

Just finished watching the tennis match, Davydenko vs Keifer,
an Atp Masters Series : Hamburg. It's on Live in StarSport the whole week now.
Its so fun to get to watch it now and again.
Before my rest, i've been meaning to share, about a series of book by Stephenie Meyer.
The first book is called "Twilight".

One of my deviantart (DA) friend urged me to read it months ago. Since she was also like me, a big Roswell fan. So she understands my taste on books and tv shows. ha-ha.
Another time it came up in the chatroom of DA (deviantart) recently, and a US friend told me abt this too. But i started getting too excited when the DA friend showed her screenshot of the movie!!!
YES! There's a movie! Began production February 2008 and release date 12 December 2008!
That's like after Harry Porter right!(another one that i'm eager about)
You can read about Twilight movie in the link i gave above.
Here's few posters/fanarts.Gosh!I cant wait!

and Twilight trailer

So i'm so getting my hands on the book series tomorrow. Havent got time to do so.
Also, cause im reading a book now, "The End of Mr.Y" and its been a crazy ride.
4th dimension, philosophers, mind ventures - urgh! heavy stuff.

Thanks for reading!

Starting Fresh and THT

is my intention and is in motion - regarding my next life phase that is. ha-ha. Pause the seriousness, and back to what i enjoy at the moment.

The Honorary Title, though barely known, (2004) the music is something.
There's little punches of the Beatles, in "Bridge and Tunnel"- that i agree with some = made me smile, or The Remembrandts in "Anything Else but the Truth".
But most of all, to get the feel of it, is to listen to each song, about 3 times..and after that, it kinda rang in my head, quite addictive i say.

What's unique about their sound, is their composition! Get you entangled!
The lyrics are sad.
I haven't gone through the albums, but here are list of tracks that got me into more in the first place.

(2006 - Anything Else but the Truth)
Anything Else but the Truth
The Bridge and Tunnel
Everything I Once Had

Frame by Frame

(2007 - Scream and Light Up the Sky)
Stay Away ( also OST One Tree Hill 3 )

“Our intention with Scream and Light Up the Sky was to communicate pessimism and the darkest of emotions,” he says, “but at the same time not take ourselves too seriously.
It’s heartfelt, but expressed with a sarcastic tone.

Shadowfeet and Lucky 8

What was on the screen on board of Air New Zealand from Auckland to Wellington, during my visit last month? Brooke Fraser.
Since yesterday, I've been listening to her
new album.

Which is actually a 2006 album but will be a new release in the US this May 26th.

I miss listening to her. I recall in 2004, her first album was a huge hit in her home country
New Zealand. The year i first step foot there as well.

I bring home her music with me until now.
Here's the 2nd single from her 2nd album, 'Albertine'.
Wait, whats 'Lucky 8' has anything to do with today's pick? Well, 8 is like my life number. Harder to explain, but the entire course of my life, 8 has always been, a 'companion'.

And i discovered and fell in love with "Shadowfeet", on the 8th, and the video,
well....
that's just...*smile*...ME. Enjoy!

~SHADOWFEET~

click here for website--> BROOKE FRASER

Walking,stumbling on these shadowfeet

toward home, a land that i've never seen
I am changing: less and less asleep
made of different stuff than when i began
and i have sensed it all along
fast approaching is the day
***
when the world has fallen out from under me
I'll be found in you, still standing
when the sky rolls up and mountains fall on their knees
when time and space are through
I'll be found in you
***
Theres distraction buzzing in my head
saying in the shadows it's easier to stay
but I've heard rumours of true reality
whispers of a well-lit way
***
You make all things new

***
When the world has fallen out from under me

I'll be found in you, still standing
Every fear and accusation under my feet
when time and space are through
I'll be found in you

'This is Home' is here!

I just watched the video of Switchfoot's 'This Is Home' that is the theme movie song for
Prince Caspian:The Chronicles of Narnia! w0000t!!! so exciting!

VIDEO HERE! VIDEO HERE! VIDEO HERE! VIDEO HERE!
watch it here with a note from Jon too! here's the link

This Is Home by Swithcfoot

"As a band we have held firm to the idea that music can bring people together to accomplish much more than a show. We've always tried to play music for everyone regardless of ideology, race, or genre. So with that in mind we are proud to announce our involvement in one of the most diverse lineups we've ever been a part of. We dreamed up the The Music Builds Tour along with a few friends of ours whose main commonality is a dream to see this world change for the better. Different bands, different backgrounds, one goal: A traveling festival to raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity. We think very highly of the people who listen to our music. We are grateful for the open minded audience who have embraced our songs and allowed us to push the boundaries of where the music can go. We invite you to put differences in musical taste aside and focus on our commonalities: we all want to see this world change for the better. We hope that you'll come with us on this next part of the journey and get involved in something much bigger than ourselves." - Chad

I checked out a few of local acts last night, and it got me thinking.

What makes an artist an artist? Is it always about the good work well presented or is it the ideology behind every piece or the person, that made them matter?

I've always turn to hidden gold, when it comes to what i choose to hear, view, read or write.
Its always been one of my strong value i cherished.
So me as an art appreciator, Ive always dig deep.
With the world today as it is, with Pluto gone, with Earth at stake, with teenagers eager to be old, with adults who cant keep up with life's high expectancy, with the world becomes flat, and we are close to thousands of doors yet made us feel stuck to open one.

I wonder, have life been this hard ages ago?

So far, as a human, living..it always comes back to what matter.
What matter is loving the good things, appreciate the simpler things, untangled the complications, believe in justice and forgiveness, be true to the truth and keep learning.
What matter is that you try ---> to be more.
Now that is a masterpiece.

~ i'm not a miracle worker, but i admire small changes ~

Window and Words

There's a window in our heart.
There's a window inside.

But to remain closed, is it still a window,
without the View?

-to listen please go the right side page for Odeo Player-
Kate Voegele with "Kindly Unspoken"
(as heard in One Tree Hill)
As high as the moon | So high were my spirits | When you sang out my name
And coming from you | It was enough just to hear it | Oh, it rang like the bells did today
But even the sturdiest ground | Can shift and can tremble and let us fall down

Kindly unspoken
You show your emotion | And silence speaks louder than words
It's lucky I'm clever | If I didn't know better
I'd believe only that which I'd heard

In the days of my folly | I followed your lead | I did what Simon Said to do
But I won't let melancholy | Play me for a fool | Oh, no I'm on my way somewhere new
And as far as your lack of something to say |

Well, to tell me goodbye there was no better way

So don't keep me up till the dawn | With words that'll keep leading me on
I know much better than to wait for an answer from you

Brandi Carlile and Band in the UK!

i knew about the tour, while she and the band were in Australia before that.
If i was in Adelaide this year, i definitely had been to the show. :)
Oh well, here's the latest video from them.
Brandi and the gang in their dressing room in London.
I cant believe that "The Story" album just coming in the UK end of April!!!!
I own the album like in the middle of last year!
I dont understand how the music business world works..but em...there you go.

Enjoy the behind the scenes On Tour clip,'Turpentine' and 'The Story,
though i posted The Story video before which i think had more raw and rock into it. :D
but you'll see she changed her guitar in the middle of the song. Awesome!

"i'll fall back in line but i'm warning you we're growing old.." - Turpentine.

"you see the smile that's on my mouth, tired of words that won't come out, all of my friends who think that i'm blessed, they don't know my hair is a mess.." - The Story.

These Hard Times by Matchbox 20

yesterday i recall a line of a song -
"why don't they understand, that someone else's pain, is not for gain."
catchy n simple :)
for the latest Hoo-Ra of my song pick.

Morning falls like rain Into the city life
There goes another night

Losing my breath in waves Knowing that every crash
is bleeding the hourglass

and taking the strife
from all our lives

Everyone keeps talking They promise you everything
But they don't mean anything
We may loose our focus There's just too many words
We're never meant to learn

And we don't feel so alive

Say goodbye, these days are gone
and we can't keep holding on
When all we need is some relief
Through these hard times
Through these hard times

Move your hands in circles Keeping me hypnotized
The power behind your eyes
Move around your bedroom Cursing the naked sky
You should be here tonight

But you stay alone and cry

Say goodbye, these days are gone
and we can't keep holding on
When all we need is some relief
Through these hard times
There's something missing You'll never feel it but you
You're gonna feel it when it's gone
When it's gone

Say goodbye, these days are gone
and we can't keep holding on
When all we need is some relief
Through these hard times
(hey)these Hard times (oh no now)Hard times Hard times

Say goodbye, these days are gone
Say goodbye, these days are gone
These days are gone.

and 'How Far We've Come' is another single from this Album that is just brilliant!
Kudos to the video as well.
I heard this the first time while in Wellington and fell in love with it instantly.
The album itself have terrific new tracks! Like, 'All Your Reason'.
too bad for it though since this album is really a greatest hits.
Suddenly, i remembered this is Nina's fav band!!!

Let There Be Morning (2005)
http://www.theperishersmusic.com/

I talk to you as to a friend

I hope that’s what you’ve
come to be
It feels as though we’ve made amends
Like we found a way
eventually

It was you who picked
the pieces up
When I was a broken soul

And then glued me
back together
Returned to me what
others stole

I don’t wanna hurt you

I don’t wanna make you
sway
Like I know I’ve done before

Iwill not do it anymore

I’ve always been a dreamer
I've had my head among the clouds
Now that I’m coming down
Won’t you be my solid ground?

I look at you and see a friend
I hope that’s what you wanna be

Are we back now where
it all began?
Have you finally forgiven me?

You gathered my dreams in

When they all blew away

And then tricked them
back into me
You saved me I was
almost dead

I don’t wanna hurt you
I don’t wanna make you
sway
Like I know I’ve done before

I will not do it anymore

I’ve always been a dreamer

I've had my head among the clouds
Now that I’m coming down

Won’t you be my solid ground?

I don’t wanna hurt you

Like I know I’ve done before
I will not do it anymore...

I don’t wanna hurt you

I don’t wanna make you
sway
Like I know I’ve done before

I will not do it anymore

I’ve always been a dreamer

I've had my head among
the clouds
Now that I’m coming down

Won’t you be my solid ground?

My fav Songwriter Talks

The words he chosed to say...love em. :)
Plus, coz of this particular video, Jon said he's been working with one of the Nickelcreek!!!!
I never knew! coz like Nickelcreek was my last year obsession!
Their songs are brilliantly written!
~ We are drawn into what we feel.~ This is one of my proof. :)

Enjoy! Jon in an interview for the
Writer's Symposium By The Sea
at Point Loma Nazarene University, Feb 6,2008.
The Song : War in My Blood, Southbound Train.

Jon's a Magnet

Current obsession : The Moon is A Magnet by Jon Foreman.
Current fuel : The OC every 2.30am & Coffee everyday/ once in 2 days.
I couldn't sleep since last week, not after 3.30am and then can only wake up by 10am.
Afterwards, days been hectic every minute. Here there.
With the current biz project, hobby stuff, friends, family, sister, writings, crushes, up to NZ - soon.
Im just in love with this song :)
u can listen to it in this page, on the left - odeo player!

The moon is a magnet
Everyone's at it
Everyone's had it
Love is a sadness
Love is a madness
We are the addicts

What are we
If we're not in love?

What are we
If we're not in love?
These are the cages
A kiss is contagious
It will betray us all
A kiss will betray us all

Somebody told me
That everyone's phony
'Til somebody's lonely
I hope that you're lonely
I hope that you're only
Waiting to phone me

What are we
If we're not alone?

What are we
If we're not alone?
These are the cages
A kiss is contagious
It will betray us all
A kiss will betray us all

The moon is a magnet
Everyone's at it
Everyone's had it

" it will be a lot to run away....it will be a lot..it will be a lot...it will be a lot to run away"
" what are we, if we're not in love. what are we, if i'm not alone."
One of my favourite Lyricist, ever!!!

SCREEEEEECHHHHH.....
STOP!
scratch the different religion. neither this cool dude can take away my faith.
but listening to this EP, he got talent to write one of the most sincere human feelings-
and its damn beautiful.
right to the core of his work, i think its only a human desire questioning and asking for something better and some meaning that should bloom out from our struggle, choices and mistakes.
and that we feel the presence of a distant destiny, that lingers too near.
words like his, played almost perfectly. music that do-breathe.
and again, may i remind myself, life is still a journey.

With all my heart, I thank you all.
My long lost friends, close ones, cyber friends, and for sure loved ones.
For the thought n best wishes.
Tq WYNN for a blog entry for me. XX.
Tq NINA for singing the bdy song in sms from far away in Aberdeen.
TQ SYAHIDA for emailing me from Spore. For never forgetting me after 6mnhts in Astronomy together.
Tq ZUE for the lovely thought of spending the time wit me.

Bdy isnt a big deal like when im young. Since i hvnt really celebrate this day wit family, (4 years). This yr is different.
Y? coz my dearie nephew Apiq (3years old), all dressed up at home excited to come n see me on my bdy. awww...how can i say no to tht?
To my mum, who ordered special delivery of food frm Kuantan.
She made Steamboat for the bdy menu. (terharu)
My dad who managed to do spend time wit me, (b4 Golf of course..haha..) still, i love the time we had.
My relatives.
Especially, my Sister. Such a sweetheart. She is the mastermind behind the Big Gift.
My parents and her, bought me....my dream helper.
CANON EOS40D.
i never guess. which is y i didnt update this blog.
i jst dunno how to write this.
My bro went all the way too. He bought me a Lifecam for my pc. something he never did.

So 28 became something more.
With all the plans i do hv right now..more is inevitable.
the key is to work it out.
and i'll always feel blessed, even some things don't work out.
Hikmah learned.

So life up until now, hv been full of risings and downfalls.
My basket is overloaded.
I could hv written one complete book of my life.
Its time for a new basket. New beginnings.
Its time to really grow up.
and im glad to be. :)

Love with fresh eyes,

Sunburst Burst More than Incubus

yeah.did this.

surprisingly, Incognito got me excited first and in the mood for music. Positive, fun, pop, funky songs certainly one of the highlights for me tht night. My tenses, and negativity vibe, slowly went away as i dance away.Enjoying myself wit the crowd.

Sunburst started at 2pm, but i went there around 9pm.
Although, Incubus was the main reason im there, seeing John Legend singing Save Room was priceless too! I bet the girl who got picked personally by Mr.Legend, to slow dance wit him on stage cant sleep!hahaha...n..her name was Nisha!!! erk.

Then there was the graffiti thing, fire thing, wall thing, and Incubus rare song list.
Aqueous Transmission was the last song. Perfect.
My fav tht night, definitely wld be : Quicksand, Anna Molly, Warmth, Talk Shows of Mute.

Little extra when the crowd sang Happy Birthday to Ben. :)

Incubus ended nearly 2am and it was awesome. Money well spent.
Best of all, i met Loth! my long lost high school buddy! cool! as usual she had her "The Secrets" Tee on. (the exact tee like Brandon's)..hehe.

for more BUZZ on Incubus tht night, click this ->INCUBUS ONLINE VIEW

ere's shots of tht night.

since my vids tht nite is so few..so i wont upload it.hehe.

so next in line...Brandi Carlile! she'll be in OZ end of March and no tickets will fall from the sky for tht one.huhu..SO, next year or end of this year then. :)
